Crispy & Juicy Cubed Tofu (Saikoro Tofu)
Ingredients
- 300 g Firm Tofu
- 3 Potato Starch
- Salt
- Ground Black Pepper
- Salad Oil
Instructions
Prepare the Tofu
- Press the tofu with a weight to drain the water thoroughly.
- Cut the drained tofu into bite-sized cubes, about 2cm (3/4 inch) each.
Coat the Tofu
- Place the tofu cubes and potato starch into a plastic bag.
- Shake the bag gently to coat the cubes evenly without breaking them.
Pan-Fry
- Heat salad oil in a frying pan over medium heat and arrange the tofu cubes.
- Cook until all sides are golden brown and crispy.
Finish
- Remove the tofu and drain the excess oil well.
- While still hot, place them in a bowl and toss with salt and coarsely ground black pepper.
Serve
- Plate your crispy cubes and enjoy!
