Crispy & Juicy Cubed Tofu (Saikoro Tofu)
This recipe is truly delicious and a huge hit with kids! Be warned: you’ll want to make a large batch because they tend to disappear during "taste-testing" before they even hit the table! They are incredibly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.
Prepare the Tofu
Press the tofu with a weight to drain the water thoroughly.
Cut the drained tofu into bite-sized cubes, about 2cm (3/4 inch) each.
Finish
Remove the tofu and drain the excess oil well.
While still hot, place them in a bowl and toss with salt and coarsely ground black pepper.
